The much awaited iPad Mini 4 release will more likely happen by October, alongside the long rumored iPad Pro launch.
The upcoming iPad Mini 4 device will feature the thinnest form ever, though will have design features similar to that of iPad Air 2, Christian Today reported.
However, only subtle design changes from its predecessor are expected, such as a single row of speakers. The device will either have the position of mute switch altered, or will entirely lack the switch, and pack a microphone instead.
In terms of the iPad Mini 4 specifications, the device will have features similar to the highly anticipated iPad Air 3, which is also rumored for a launch later this year, possibly alongside iPad Pro.
The iPad Mini 3 successor will sport the latest and powerful A9 processor and the M9 co-processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 128 GB storage capacity. Rumor has it that the 128 GB variant of the iPad Mini 4 will be the entry level tablet.
The device will reportedly pack Touch ID, improved speakers, a sharper display and will run on iOS 9. The next generation iPad Mini will also feature the split-screen functionality for multitasking on iPads, according to USwitch.
The iPad Mini 4 price is speculated to be around $399 and will launch with Verizon carrier. This falls in line with previous reports that pointed to a better iPad Mini version with enhanced design and improved features.
Nevertheless, these reports should be taken with a pinch of salt, as Apple is yet to official comment on anything related to iPad Mini 4 release.
