The viral spreading of the Uniqlo sex video of a Chinese couple draws people to the clothing store's Sanlitun, Beijing branch. The shop turned out like a tourist attraction because of the scandalous clip despite Chinese Cyberspace Administrators' claim that it has violated social core values.
The sex video of the Chinese couple who are speculated to be a certain Hou Tianxu and Yutian was spotted on the mobile social network app WeChat. The two are thought to be students in a prestigious university in Beijing taking up a Business course, states Daily Mail based on a China.com report.
The promiscuous clip that lasted for about a minute shows the couple having sex in a fitting room inside the Sanlitun commercial building. The store was only confirmed to be of Uniqlo's when an announcement was heard at the latter part of the video mentioning the name of the store.
The guy in the video, who was seen wearing a black shirt, triggered speculations when he posted online that they made the sex video because they were going to be apart from a while. The woman, on the other hand, admitted through her online account as well that she indeed was the naked woman. After the messages were posted, the accounts turned out to have been immediately deleted.
The Cyberspace Administration of China considered the spreading of the Uniqlo sex video as a severe case of violating the country's "socialist core values." The social media sites which allowed the indecent sex video on their sites were reprimanded by the authorities, reports Huffington Post.
The widespread of the sex video reaped a great deal of attention from most, locals and tourists alike, that the Uniqlo Sanlitun branch became some kind of a tourist attraction for selfies in the oddest sense. There are even shirts with a screen grab print of the video that were selling via Taobao, a Chinese rendition of eBay, but eventually taken down as well.
Uniqlo has denied any connection whatsoever to the emergence of the Chinese couple's sex video and reminded shoppers to use their fitting rooms in the proper manner, mentions Shanghai Daily. "We also firmly deny some online allegations saying the video is our publicity stunt," the store added in a statement.
Beijing police announced that they are continuing their investigation on the matter.
