According to ABC News, Walt Disney is donating a total of $1 million to the Girl Scouts of Orange County as part of its 60th-year celebration. A total of 750 million guests attended the Disneyland's anniversary.
The theme park was first opened and expanded in 160 acres on July 17, 1955, in Anaheim, California. It was reported that Disney spent $17 million and took about 20 years to build the park.
The Disney was created and inspired by the idea of having both the parents and children to have fun together while at the park. Every year, Disneyland brings over 14 million visitors who spend approximately $3 billion. Disney has been reported to open a new theme park in Shanghai, China in 2016.
The famous themes of the princess, fairy tales and many Disney characters have now parks in different parts of the world. It was reportedly secured a contract to build a theme with the box office hit Cameron movie, "Avatar" in 2017.
