"Gone Girl" star Ben Affleck brought a puppy for his kids, who are currently in Atlanta with their mother Jennifer Garner, on July 20, Monday. He was seen touching down from a private jet while cradling a Golden Retriever puppy in his arms. The 42-year-old star, who was still wearing his wedding band.
Affleck reportedly brought the puppy for his kids to cheer them up amid divorce proceedings. The new furry addition in the family seems to be the same puppy which the family has adopted a few months ago at a Pacific Palisades rescue center.
"It's their new puppy," People quoted an insider, who further claimed that it is a sign that the estranged couple is trying to work "together to raise kids and be in a kind relationship."
Shortly before the Hollywood couple announced their split in an official joint statement on June 30, they were spotted at the adoption center where the actor was reported to be in a bad mood. Affleck was reportedly rude to the female volunteer at the center and he scowled at his actress wife who was encouraging her kids to play with the puppies, Us Weekly has learned.
The actress is in Georgia to film her upcoming movie "Miracles From Heaven." This is the second time in a month that the actor had flown from Los Angeles to Atlanta to see his kids.
Meawhile, it is rumored the actor is intentionally trying to show his affection towards his kids these days in the wake of the impending custody battle. Affleck is likely to appeal for joint physical custody, while the "Daredevil" star is hoping for sole physical one.
