"Final Fantasy VII" remake will be launched on Dec. 31, 2016, but fans may pre-order the game in Amazon and EBGames.
Video game developer Square Enix announced the development of "Final Fantasy VII Remake" at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015.
The Japanese game developer chose Tetsuya Nomura to do the game remake with feedback and ideas. Nomura stated that "Final Fantasy VII" will not just be an HD version of the well-loved game and it will take time to complete the development. He added that he will respect the original game, leaving the vital parts intact but with changes for the betterment of the game.
In addition, the director said that there will be no new characters and they are working to make the visual displays closer to reality. However, up until now the Japanese video game company has not yet released an update regarding the turn based battle system since the E3 announcement, Crossmap reported. However, a lot of fans are interpreting that it may be transitioning from its classic turn-based battle system to an action-oriented system.
EBGames has the game for both PS4 and Xbox One versions, emphasizing the multiplatform "Play It First On PlayStation 4" nature of the game. The assured the fans that the story and gameplay are already present in the remake, but lots of development are needed.
According to fans of the game, it is interesting to note that the launched of "Final Fantasy VII Remake" will be around the game's 20th anniversary. They added that the early announcement of the pre-order of the game is obviously a placeholder, iDigitalTimes has learned.
