The official screen test clip of "The Flash" star Grant Gustin for the role of Barry Allen was recently released online.
According to Yahoo News, executive producer Greg Berlanti said that Gustin was not really the perfect fit for Barry or The Flash because they were not the same age and did not have the same built. However, there was something about the former "Glee" star that gave him the role.
In the clip, Gustin could be seen reading lines from the script of "The Flash." It was also revealed that the actor went up against several other male actors who auditioned for the role. After several script readings and auditions, Gustin was officially named as this generation's The Flash.
Meanwhile, the upcoming second season of "The Flash" will reportedly feature more of Cisco Ramon. According to Cinema Blend, Carlos Valdes' character Cisco became a superhero in the comic books and the exact same thing will happen to him on The CW series.
The publication noted that in season 2, Cisco will transform into Vibe and the biological changes he is bound to undergo will be featured during the first few episodes of the season.
It was also recently revealed that Vibe and The Flash will work together in the upcoming season. This is contrary to speculations that Vibe will start as one of The Flash's sworn enemies. However, this does not mean that Barry will not be faced with his new opponents. In fact, season 2 of the flash promises to feature more Rogues and villains.
"The Flash" season 2 will premiere on The CW this coming October.
