"Grey's Anatomy" star Jesse Williams, who plays the role of Jackson Avery, recently weighed in on the shocking death of Sandra Bland.
According to The Grio, Bland was found dead in a Texas jail cell recently and no one from the Waller County Police or anyone else knew what happened to her.
The actor, who does not have any direct links with the victim, posted more than 20 tweets about the incident. He also noted the ongoing bias that people of color receive in the United States.
Meanwhile, so much has happened to Williams' character on "Grey's Anatomy." In the past, Jackson merely struggled with his professional life as a doctor at Seattle Grace Memorial Hospital. However, just recently, he also struggled with his personal life when he found out that his son suffered from a rare condition.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Williams' onscreen wife Sarah Drew talked about Jackson's issues in the 11th and 12th seasons of "Grey's Anatomy."
According to Drew, Jackson will not necessarily keep his faith in God because in the first place, he is not one to believe in a higher being. In the upcoming season of the hit ABC series, Jackson will continue to try and save his family especially now that April seems to want to do other things.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 will premiere on ABC this coming September 24. The series will also feature changes in the lives of Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), Callie (Sara Ramirez), Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and more.
