"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will premiere in just a few more weeks and there have been reports that Penny and Leonard's wedding could still push through. With this, fans are speculating that the minister who will wed them in Las Vegas will officially join the cast of the hit CBS series.
According to TV Line, the creators of "The Big Bang Theory" are currently looking for a male actor who is aged 45 to 50 years old and who could play the role of minister in the premiere episode of season 9.
Meanwhile, showrunner Steve Molaro recently revealed that season 9 will kick off just a few hours where season 8 left off. This means that season 9 will open with Penny and Leonard heading off to Las Vegas. The recent report about the open casting call suggests that indeed, Penny and Leonard will reach the altar. However, it is unclear whether or not the two will actually wed.
In other news, fans are also wondering about what will happen to Amy and Sheldon. In season 8, the couple broke up after the former thought the latter was not serious about her. According to Molaro, Amy and Sheldon could get back together or they may also choose to stay away from each other. If this were to happen, Amy can easily find new male prospects to twist their love story, Molaro told Entertainment Weekly.
