Costa Rican soccer club Saprissa will open its 2015-2016 CONCACAF Champions League stint with a match against Trinidad and Tobago squad W Connection FC at their home field of Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá in San Juan de Tibás, Costa Rica on Thursday, August 20.
The 2014 Costa Rican Primera División champions is coming off a 0-0 tie with current PRD Apertura winners Club Sport Herediano also at the abovementioned stadium in their local league on Monday, via Soccerway.
The draw put Jeaustin Campos's squad at third place in the PRD with eight points, two points behind league leaders Herediano and Santos de Guápiles who are tied on top with 10 points each.
El Monstruo Morado had been unbeaten in their last four matches and they hope to bring that momentum into this CCL match with the Savonetta Boys.
W Connection played their first game of the CONCACAF tourney on the road last August 4 and they fell to reigning Liga MX champs Club Santos Laguna, 0-4, at the Estadio Corona in Torreón, Mexico, as per the CCL official website.
Stuart Charles-Fevrier's men were overmatched by the Mexicans as they could not stop Los Guerreros' attacks all throughout the game. The Trinidadians hope to bounce back in their second game, but La S is equally tough to beat as well.
The predicted result is a 2-1 win by El Glorioso over the Marabella residents. Of the two teams, Saprissa is more likely to challenge Santos Laguna for Group A's top spot.

W Connection starting lineup (4-4-2 formation): Archibald; Hodge, Viveros, Frederick, Gomez; Jones, Mitchell, Goddard, Apai; Williams, Charles
