The identity of the Ghostface killer could be revealed in the next episode of "Scream: The TV Series." The promo video of "Scream: The TV Series" episode 9 titled "The Dance" suggests that Seth Branson (Bobby Campo), the suspect that the police arrested in the previous episode titled "Ghosts," is not really the killer or there is another killer on the loose in Lakewood.
In the promo video, Brooke (Carlson Young) reveals that someone watches her every move. "Considering Seth is behind bars, I'm pretty sure it wasn't him," Brooke declares.
Sheriff Hudson (Jason Wiles) arrested English teacher Seth Branson in "Scream: The TV Series" episode 8 titled "Ghosts" after Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus) and Noah (John Karna) found a murder weapon in Mr. Branson's classroom. However, the upcoming episode's promo video teases that the Lakewood police department may have caught the wrong killer.
There is also a possibility that another Ghostface killer is still free in the upcoming episode of "Scream: The TV Series." The format of two Ghostface killers was used in the "Scream" film franchise except for the third installment.
The previous episode revealed that Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) has an older sibling. Maggie/Daisy Duvall (Tracy Middendorf) confessed to her daughter Emma that she had a child with Brandon James during her teenage years.
However, Maggie was not able to find out the gender of her firstborn because she gave up the child for adoption. According to Carter Matt, podcaster Piper Shaw (Amelia Rose Blaire) could be Emma's older sister and she could also be involved in the Lakewood murders.
Meanwhile, the promo video also teased that Sheriff Hudson is the next target of the Ghostface killer. Sheriff Hudson is confident that they have captured the Ghostface killer but a scene in the promo video shows the Ghostface killer is getting ready to attack the sheriff from behind.
According to the synopsis in TVGuide, Emma will doubt that Mr. Branson is the actual killer in the next episode. Emma will be joining forces with Piper in seeking the truth while attending the high school's Halloween dance.
"Scream: The TV Series" episode 9 titled "The Dance" is scheduled to air on Tuesday night, Aug. 25, at 10/9c on MTV.
