"The Incredibles 2" will reportedly be released ahead of "Frozen 2," despite the fact that the former was confirmed only recently.
While at the D23 Disney Expo recently, the head of Pixar Animation John Lassater talked about the upcoming "The Incredibles" sequel. According to him, Brad Bird will return to the sequel. He added that Bird already came up with a great storyline for "The Incredibles 2."
Meanwhile, Lassater confirmed that "The Incredibles 2" wasn't discussed at this year's D23 Disney Expo because it would be part of next year's event. This has led fans to speculate that the film will be released sometime between November 2017 and June 2018, according to Master Herald.
Although Lassater has not yet confirmed the estimated release date for the movie, this still means that "The Incredibles 2" will be released ahead of "Frozen 2." The latter is reported to be released sometime in 2018.
In other news, there have also been rumors that the production and filming for "The Incredibles 2" will commence before the end of 2015. However, fans believe that the production will begin at a much later time if the movie were to be released between 2017 and 2018.
Meanwhile, Disney just released the official logo for "The Incredibles 2."
In an interview with Cinema Blend, Bird hinted on the possibility of turning Jack-Jack into the film's newest villain. He added that the sequel will continue to focus on the concept and importance of family. Some of characters include Violet, Dash, Mr. Incredible and more.
