"Super Mario Bros." now has custom playable gameplay via the Super Mario Maker tool.
"Super Mario Bros." developer Nintendo recently announced on PAX Prime 2015 that Mario fans can now create their very own level of "Super Mario" on the Wii U and also share them online, Destructoid reported. It is set to be released this coming Sept. 11.
"Super Mario Bros." gamers can select and combine components from "Super Mario Bros." "Super Mario Bros. 3," "Super Mario Word" and "New Super Mario U." Everything is customizable and players just have to simply drag and drop what they want and start playing on it.
Super Mario Maker is not a game, but more of a tool. It is a utility that can be used to create a playable custom level for the Wii U. Gamers can save it and share it to other players. They can also download other custom levels from other players. Players just have to remember to play and finish the custom level first before they are given the capability to share it with others.
"Super Mario Bros." games that are customized start on a blank level like a canvass for a painting, Venture Beat reported. Everything that has been featured in the aforementioned games can be used. Underwater or airship level, it is there. Then fill it up with pipes, spikes, coins, question mark boxes Goombas, and power ups and everything else typical in a Mario Game.
Super Mario Maker add-on was first announced at E3 2014 and was named simply as Mario Maker. It was created solely for internal use, but the team realized that it would be a great tool for gamers as well.
