"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder reportedly has mixed thoughts about being killed off from the shows that he starred in.
In an interview with Chicago Tribune, Somerhalder said that he still does not know or understand why he was killed off very early on on "Lost."
Although he has mixed feelings about that time in his acting career, Somerhalder said that there is a chance he was killed off on "Lost" because he was not able to give his best in portraying his character.
Meanwhile, there are also rumors that Somerhalder's Damon Salvatore will be killed off from the series.
Throughout the past couple of weeks, the actor has been sharing photos on Instagram and tweeting his Twitter followers messages of gratitude. As such, fans are speculating that the actor is ready to pursue other acting opportunities.
In other news, there are also rumors that Nikki Reed is worried that her husband and Nina Dobrev will work together on "The Vampire Diaries." Although Dobrev already said that she will no longer return to the show, some fans still believe that the actress could reprise her role as Elena Gilbert because the character was not killed off.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Julie Plec revealed that she tried asking Dobrev to return to the series, but she refused. According to her, Dobrev knew for a fact that it was time to move on from The CW series and her character.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will premiere on The CW this October.
