"The Flash" season 2 is two weeks away, and in this leaked five-minute promo, you will see a tease of the "Flash of Two Worlds" cover. The video is from the iTunes sneak peek that was recorded before it was uploaded on Vidme.
The preview video shared by Cosmic Book News is a special bonus for subscribers who purchased a season pass of "The Flash" Season 2 on iTunes.
The first season of "The Flash" is also reviewed while looking forward to what lies ahead for the original cast, along with detailed looks at upcoming characters that will debut on the show this season.
Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) is the most important featured new character in the video as he will take on the mentor role for Barry Allen/Flash (Grant Gustin) that Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) played last season.
As many comic book fans know, Garrick is the original Flash that DC Comics introduced to the world in 1940, as detailed in Comic Vine's summary of his origin.
The highlight of the video is the re-enactment of the iconic DC Comics cover from "The Flash" #123 which shows both Flashes running towards a woman who asked for the Scarlet Speedster's help.
Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) will be Barry's new love interest on the show as Iris West (Candice Patton) continues to compete for his affections as well.
According to Deadline, Patty will be the new partner of Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) after his last one, Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), sacrificed himself to save Barry. She's obsessed with metahumans and will seek to prove that she can handle herself against them.
We also see the Atom Smasher and Zoom, the show's main villain, as well as a reminder that we will be seeing crossovers with other CW superhero shows throughout the season.
