Several reports suggest that the Google's Nexus series will get the Android Marshmallow update first. After that, the Android M rollout will move on to other mobile manufacturers such as Sony, HTC, LG and Samsung. The electronics maker Sony is good about getting the newest version of Android to their handsets. Here is the Android Marshmallow release news for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z3+, Z5 Compact, Xperia Z3, Z5 Premium and Xperia M4 Aqua.
It is not yet confirmed which Sony devices will be getting the Android Marshmallow update. However, according to reports, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet compact, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3+ will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
Also, it is likely that the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua will be receiving the new update. Reports also suggest that devices such as the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z2 will get the Android 6.0 update.
According to Gadgets NDTV, Google will unveil two Nexus smartphones on September 29 - Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. These two Nexus smartphones will be the first to run Android Marshmallow.
Reports suggest that the Nexus 6P will sport a fingerprint reader and a metal body. Also, the two Nexus smartphones may support USB Type-C, Android Police reported.
The Sony Z5 Premium, Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 will get the Android Marshmallow update first. The Xperia Z5 and the Z5 Compact are scheduled to be released worldwide beginning October of this year. The Xperia Z5 Premium, on the other hand, is scheduled to be released worldwide beginning on November of this year.
It is likely that Android Marshmallow could be available to owners of Z5 from the very beginning, if Sony actually pursues the Android Marshmallow upgrade right after the rollout.
