"Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller revealed that the shooting for season 6 has begun. The ALDC coach also wished Maddie Ziegler a happy 13th birthday.
Although Miller has yet to reveal their exact filming location, she shared a photo on Instagram with the caption, "Leaving on a Jet Plane, Don't know when I'll be back again!" followed by hashtags, ALDC, Dance Moms, Season 6 and ALDC LA.
It has long been rumored that "Dance Moms" may just be cancelled after season 5 following reports that the reality series has always been scripted. Miller and Ziegler has admitted that the cast would sometimes have "fake fights" to please the producers and increase the ratings.
Miller has also hinted that she was thinking of producing the series on her own. Speaking to Mingle Media TV, she revealed that the kids were only paid $1,500-$2,000 per episode, which she deemed unacceptable given the show's huge following.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Miller added that Lifetime has been a little behind on their payment. She explained that they needed to discuss a lot of things before they could move on to another season.
Meanwhile, Miller shared that she is extremely proud of all things Ziegler has accomplished. She shared a video from Ziegler's birthday celebration, in which it showed the reality star beaming in front of her birthday cake. "Dance Moms" co-stars Kendall Vertes and Nia Frazier were also seen beaming alongside the birthday girl.
A few hours later, Ziegler posted a photo with Vertes and Frazier, thanking them for making her birthday the best one yet.
