The five happiest states in the United States have been finally disclosed by a company known as Wallet-Hub. During the release, Wallet-Hub said that the states were signified by emotional well-being, culture-centered in tight-knit community lives and some degree of booming economies.
The happiest states were Utah, Minnesota, Hawaii, Colorado and North Dakota. Utah topped the list while the rest followed up to North Dakota which took the fifth position. Minnesota emerged on the list in terms of emotional and physical well-being.
According to Wallet Hub, the results of happiest states in America were derived by comparing the District of Columbia together with the other 50 states across 25 key metrics ranging from income levels to emotional health and sports participation rates.
The company also ascertained that money can indeed contribute to happiness in some way. However, it only goes to a certain threshold. A comprehensive study that was done on the topic suggested that the satisfaction of life increased as the income rates increased but only up to $75,000 a year. Beyond this amount, income made a diminutive difference in a person's inclusive happiness.
According to Fool, these happiest states have two divergent characteristics. They possess healthy though not entirely prosperous economies and they also enjoy cultural values. Seemingly, these were discovered to be the two essential components of living in the healthiest and the happiest states.
The happiest states on the list merely portray the best scales in terms of emotional well-being, physical well-being, work environment, environmental activities, recreational activities and communal activities.
