The tech giant Google has started rolling out the Android Marshmallow update to its Nexus devices. However, some users are still waiting for the Android 5.1.1 lollipop update. If reports are anything to go by, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is now rolling out to LG G3.
According to Droid Life, Verizon's LG G3 has started getting the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. The update is 353 MB in size. The Android build is LMY47V and the software version is VS98535B. It is recommended to have a full battery before starting the download and installation process.
If LG G3 users have not seen the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update show up on their handset yet, there is no need to worry as it seems to be live for most of the users, and should show up pretty soon. LG G3 users can check for the Android Lollipop update manually by going to the settings menu>About phone>Software updates>Check for updates. If the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is available for their handset, it should tell them as such.
According to Neurogadget, LG G3 and LG G4 will get the Android Marshmallow update soon. The electronics maker LG is set to release the Android Marshmallow update to the following models - LG G3 F400L, F400K and F400S, and the LG G4 F500S, F500K and F500L.
Reports also suggest that other devices such as the LG G Flex 2 as well as LG G2 could possibly get the Android Marshmallow update soon. Fingerprint scanner support, USB Type-C support, granular app permissions, doze battery-saving feature and Google Now on Tap are some of the features of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
