"Star Wars" anthology films are going to unleash some practical effects.
"Wreck-It Ralph" actor Alan Tudyk is part of the cast of Gareth Edwards' forthcoming "Star Wars" spin-off film "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said that the viewers would be fascinated at what they could look at in the film, since it would feature a physical world.
Tudyk also said fans woulds see creatures and spaceships and not large bandages of green that had been suspended from the beams.
According to Cinema Blend, the idea of integrating real creatures, locales, and things would be a solid concept for the upcoming film. While CGI and green screen contribute to the overall realism of the film, the move of adding actual things the actors can utilize in filming would add to the entirety of the film.
Aside from Tudyk, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Deigo Luna, and Jonathan Aris, among others. Directed by Edwards, Chris Weitz and George Lucas are set to co-write the script based on the story authored by John Knoll and Gary Whitta.
Meanwhile, fans are set to see "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens," which is set 30 years after the events in the "Return of Jedi." It stars an ensemble of both old and new heroes and villains played by Oscar Isaac, Hamill, Max von Sydow, Simon Pegg, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford, among others.
Gareth's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" premieres on Dec. 16, 2016 while Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" hits theaters on Dec. 18. Meanwhile, Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is slated to premiere in theaters on May 26, 2017 while Colin Trevorrow's "Star Wars: Episode IX" premieres in 2019.
