Another country, Russia, has added Islamic State (IS) beheader Jihadi John to its list of wanted criminals. Like the UK and U.S. lists, Mohammed Emwazi is also number 1 on Moscow's list.

Daily Mail reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin is even preparing to deploy a special squad to Syria to track and arrest the 27-year-old decapitator. Russia could also go after another major IS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The U.S. believes it would be easier for Russian operatives to carry out the mission because of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's invitation to Putin. Because of the invitation, Russia launched airstrikes in Syria two weeks ago.

However, a U.S. security source of The Sun points out that if Russia would succeed, it would be "a massive propaganda coup" for Moscow and give the communist nation major bargaining power.

Putin has the advantage of using strong arm tactics - which he is known for - that would deal American prestige a "devastating blow."

Jihadi John, who was educated in Britain, is number 1 on the U.S. kill list. Numbers 2 and 3 have been killed by drone attacks.

In early October, British Prime Minister David Cameron ordered the capture of Emwazi "dead or alive." To achieve that, he ordered the doubling of the number of drones that would target the IS.

To prevent young Britons from joining the IS, Cameron ordered the seizure of passports of young citizens believed to be at risk of joining terror groups overseas. Besides that, people with extremist offence convictions would be banned from working with children who are vulnerable to recruitment efforts of the IS.

However, Muslim Council of Britain Secretary General Shuja Shafi criticized Cameron's move because it risks alienating followers of the Islam faith in the UK. He warned that the move could also be counterproductive.
