Potential villains for Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp" have been revealed.
According to Cinema Blend, Ant-Man and the Wasp might encounter Crossfire, Black Knight, Radioactiv Man, Whirlwind, and Voice.
In the comics, Crossfire initially started out as a CIA interrogator. Just like his cousin Darren Cross, Crossfire desired to build an army of mercenaries after he left the organization. However, this action led other people to be mad at him, which resulted to him losing his left eye and ear.
Black Knight is another potential nemesis of Ant-Man and the Wasp. With the alter ego of Professor Nathan Garrett, Black Knight built his own knight army after he discovered that he was not considered worthy to wield the Ebony Blade, his ancestor's hidden sword. He fought Giant-Man and The Wasp alone and soon joined the Masters of Evil.
"Ant-Man and the Wasp" could also feature Radioactive Man. With the alter ego Chen Lu, Radioactive Man was initially a nuclear physicist in China. He was summoned to find a way to take down Thor, which exposed him to radiation.
Another possible villain in "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is Whirlwind. With the alter-ego David Cannon, Whirlwind discovered that he could spin his body at fast speed rates when he was young. However, the comics saw the villain defeated by Giant-Man and The Wasp a number of times.
Finally, there is Voice. Originally a radio announcer with the alter ego Jason Lorne Craig, Voice mutated after he accidentally inhaled ionized atoms from a nearby atomic facility through his microphone.
In Peyton Reed's "Ant-Man," fans saw Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne help Dr. Hank Pym stop Cross, also known as Yellowjacket, from releasing the Pym particles to the public via the Yellowjacket suit. With Lang and van Dyne set to work hand in hand in "Ant-Man and the Wasp," it is assumed that they would meet and battle another villain.
Also, Ant-Man is set to be part of Captain America's team, along with Hawkeye, Falcon, and Agent 13. They will be against Iron Man's team, which reportedly includes Black Widow, War Machine, The Vision, and Black Panther. Spider-Man is also set to appear in the film; however, no information yet as to which side he is in. Meanwhile, the Wasp's inclusion in the film is yet to be revealed.
At the moment, director Reed was in talks to come back for the planned "Ant-Man" sequel. Meanwhile, no screenwriter is on board yet to pen the script of the upcoming film, according to Comic Book Resources.
Along with Marvel's reveal on the Wasp joining Ant-Man in a film sequel, Reed's "Ant-Man" will be released on digital platforms and the Disney Movies Anywhere app on Nov. 12 and Blu-ray/DVD on Dec. 8.
Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on July 6, 2018 while the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
