Three new photos of Duncan Jones' forthcoming "Warcraft" film have been released.
The photos can be seen in the latest issue of Empire Magazine (via Comic Book). The shots feature Travis Fimmel's Sir Anduin Lothar; Toby Kebbel's Durotan, the Orcs' lead protagonist; and Robert Kazinsky's Orgrim Doomhammer.
The actors seem to mirror the characters' appearance in the "Warcraft" video game, which supports Jones' statement last January. In his interview with 2P, the filmmaker said that the upcoming video game-based film would display impressive special effects, along with his revelation that Durotan was his favorite character in the game.
Fimmel also said in his interview in March that "Warcraft" would feature a lot of CGI, which was ground-breaking and a totally different experience from his film "Vikings."
"Warcraft" is set to showcase a three-dimensional epic adventure of a world-colliding conflict basedon the Warcraft video games series. The film is set in the world of Azeroth and will center on the origin events prior to the conflict between the Humans of Stormwind and the Orcish Horde.
Aside from Fimmel, Kebbel, and Kazinsky, "Warcraft" also stars Clancy Brown, Dominic Cooper, Paul Patton, and Ben Foster, among others.
With Jones set to helm the film, Charles Leavitt and Chris Metzen are on board to co-pen the film's screenplay. Nicholas Carpenter, Michael Morhaime, Brent O'Connor, Paul Sams, and Jillian Share will co-produce the film, among others. Bill Westenhoffee, Ang Lee, and Jeff White are in charge of special effects while Ramin Dwajadi is set to score the film.
Jones' "Warcraft" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on June 10, 2016.
