Gal Gadot shared a first picture of herself wearing an official costume for the movie "Wonder Woman," as she announced the start of filming over social media.
The Israeli actress, who was also a cast of two "Fast and the Furious" movies, appeared in a photo wearing an Amazonian themed ensemble: a hooded cloak over metallic head piece and a metallic arm, a very contrasting look of the more prominent picture of the previous Wonder Woman look of blue skirt and a corset. Warner Bro Pictures also released a statement that film's principal photography has also begun.
Gadot also posted in her Instagram account "Almost 75 years in the making... #WonderWoman is underway." The film is scheduled to be released on June 23, 2017, more than 75 years after "Wonder Woman" made her debut in DC's All-Star Comics in 1941, EOnline reported.
The 31 year old actress will also be playing a role in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" film directed by Zack Snyder and is set to be released on March 25, 2016. Gadot will be seen a wearing a similar head piece and bracelets.
The "Wonder Woman" character have had the chance to make an appearance years ago and was expected to be played by Megan Gale, but the movie "Justice League Mortal" was scrapped. Megan Gale, was seen in a photo wearing classic look of Wonder Woman (skirt in blue color, corset, bracelets and a headpiece), IBTimes reported.
The upcoming "Wonder Woman" film will be directed by Patty Jenkins and the script was written by Jason Fuchs (who also wrote the script of the famous "Ice Age: Continental Drift"). The list of cast included Chris Pine who will play Steve Trevor, the ever supportive love interest of the lady hero Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Ewen Bemmer, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Saïd Taghmaoui and David Thewlis.
