The highly anticipated premiere of "The 100" season 3 has finally been confirmed. The CW series is slated to return on Jan. 21, 2016 at 9:00 pm following "Legends of Tomorrow."
According to the new spoilers from Melty, writer and producer Aaron Ginsburg revealed that a major character may die in the coming episodes.
"Don't know what's worse: how much blood is all over set right now or that the blood belongs to a character you guys like," he tweeted.
The outlet held that although fans pleaded Ginsburg to spare Clarke, Lexa, Bellamy, and Octavia, it was said that "one of them will surely die" come season 3. When asked how many will die in the season premiere, the showrunner posted, "It's not a low number."
Although it remains to be confirmed which major character will say goodbye in the third season, the publication speculated that it will happen not in the premiere but in the series finale. They held that there will be another epic battle, similar to season 2' finale.
Meanwhile, fans eagerly awaiting for "The 100" season 3 trailer may just have to wait a bit longer. According to Christian Today, executive producer Jason Rothenberg revealed that they are still ironing a lot of details before they share it to the public. He, however, promised that it is going to be "epic." The showrunner also hinted that they will be dropping a "big news" sometime soon.
The complete season 2 has been recently made available for Netflix. Some fans of The CW series are reportedly binge watching the episodes in preparation for the season 3 premiere.
