"Gravity Falls" season 2 finale, titled "Weirdmageddon III" will reportedly feature an epic battle between Bill Cipher and Time Baby. Turns out, although viewers saw Time Baby blasted into little pieces in a previous episode, he may still be alive and seek revenge.
According to Christian Today, showrunner Alex Hirsh hinted that Time Baby will be an integral character in the series finale. He explained that there has always been a huge similarity between Time Baby and Bill.
The outlet further speculated that if the two will end up battling each other in the end, only one of them will survive. Spoilers revealed that Bill will be trapped in an amorphous space where he can no longer influence the world. Time Baby will reportedly use this to his advantage and manipulate time.
In other news, although Hirsch confirmed that the show will end only after two season, he hinted that fans will get to see the Pine family soon. On his official Tumblr page, he admitted that they purposely forget to answer some of the questions to make room for "any potential Gravity Falls projects in the future."
Hirsch explained that although he is done telling the story that does not mean that viewers will never get to see Dipper, Mabel and Stan again. Some speculated that there may be a series reboot under an entirely different cast and crew.
"It means that this chapter is closed, and that I, at least for now, am personally done telling their story," he added.
The release date of "Gravity Falls" season 2 finale "Weirdmageddon III" is slated to premiere early 2016.
