Good news awaits the anticipating fans of "Destiny: The Taken King". Recently, the promised update of December for the game went live and it revealed development in the game before the DLC release in 2016.
Reportedly, the update brought a number of improvements in certain weapons, Classes and nerfs. It also introduced an event with time limit named Sparrow Racing League.

In order to explain the DLCs for the next year, the Community Manager of Bungie, Erik "Urk" Osborne mentioned that the first batch of contents and updates will be close to the "Festival of The Lost" and greater than anything since the arrival of the game, according to Bungie Weekly Update.
Additionally, Osborne also shared that although they were a bit slow on the interval of releases, yet the New Year will see them more focused on releasing new content and working faster on them as their plans from winter 2015 to spring 2016 has been slated, according to reports from Vine Report.
Urk went on to say that they have updated the playbook based on what they've learned till date and to tap into the fact of making "Destiny" unique.
Since last year Bungie waited for five months to bring in the new downloadable content, this year they are planning to deliver new experiences at a faster clip. That is why the updates are currently slated to hit the market across Winter and Spring 2016.
