Murray told the Wired that he has several concerns on VR gameplay aspects for "Tekken 7" since the announcement at Paris Games Week as he stated that they currently do not see a way that could enhance the sequel in a new level better than what it be right now. Murray cited a hidden feature in "Tekken 2" that allowed first-person view, which is cool on itself but having it in the whole "Tekken" series as a standard feature will not likely suite the fans as people like the game franchise the way it is. Murray added that another reason for the possible cancellation of the VR gameply could be the lack of VR headsets as he predicted not everyone can have, much less afford the device.

Aside from the VR Gameplay, "Tekken 7" may incorporate Online Matchmaking system in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles similar to the arcades.

Murray stated that they liked the idea of putting the same match making system from to arcade to the consoles that gamers will have better competition outside their comfort zone. In order to make the Online Match Making a reality, Sony may have to use some sort of inter-connectivity through the PlayStation Network similar as to how Capcom did in "Street Fighter 5".

"Tekken 7" could also be available for SteamOS making it possible fot the game to played in the PC platform. The Steam OS allows users to stream games their PC softwares from Windows, Linux and even in Mac, Clapway reported.
