New details for "Final Fantasy XV" will feature new types of magic within the game and a rumored launch date on June 2016 for the PlayStation 4.
Game director Hajime Tabata revealed new information regarding how magic works within "Final Fantasy XV" as he told Examiner that the sequel will have two types of magic. The first type will be very generic to most "Final Fantasy" games such as casting fire, ice, water, ensuna, heal etc., while the second type of magic will be exclusive only to the Royal Lucis family like the game's protagonist Noctis, which probably has to do with his ability to summon every weapon in the game
It is not explained yet as to how the second magic type will affect the main party members or how these magic types will have a class struggle within the game. However, Square Enix announced that a new Active Time Report for "Final Fantasy XV" will launch next month and hopefully will explain any further details on its features.
"Final Fantasy XV" will feature a new gambit system for upgrading each character's stats, as well as a monster climbing feature for dealing huge damage on larger enemies. There are also improvements on the Cross and Slash Link systems within the sequel.
In other news, several rumors are making rounds that the possible launh date of "Final Fantasy XV" for PS4 and Xbox One consoles have been revealed.
Amazon Japan placed "Final Fantasy XV" on June 1, 2016 for the consoles hinting a summer release next year.
However, a recent update on the website stated that the June 2016 launch is not an official seller, but a third party seller as the official product listing is set on December 2016, GearNuke reported.
The summer release date rumors started when Square Enix created a survey asking gaming fans which game they prefer to buy in stores and the options are "Persona 5" and "Final Fantasy XV". Fans quickly deduced that the game will launch within the summer of next year since Atlus plans on launching "Persona 5" as well, perhaps creating a healthy competition between the two.
Square Enix has just finished the pre-beta program for "Final Fantasy XV" and claimed that gamers can play it for start to finished as the developers are finishing the final requirements for the sequel.
"Final Fantasy XV" will launch sometime in 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
