Following the success of "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" in the box office, fans are now pushing for another sequel, and their demand was fueled by Masashi Kishimoto after he assured them that there will be a spinoff.
The latest rumors around the spinoff indicate that the film is no in development because "Naruto Shippuden: Itachi Shinden aka The True Legend of Itachi" will be released anytime in March this year, according to International Business Times.
The publication also added that Takashi Yano's "True Legend of Itachi" will get an anime adaptation. The anime will stress on the two novels based on Itachi Uchiha, the late Sasuke Uchiha's elder brother. Fans will be fascinated by the four-year-old Itachi joining the Academy.
Itachi's story focuses on his initial dream to become the first Uchiha Clan member in the Ninja Academy. Furthermore, the plot will evolve with Itachi's friendship with Shisui Uchiha and their admission into ANBU.
Meanwhile, the second novel in the Itachi series, "The True Legend of Itachi: Dark Night," will be incorporated into the anime series. The novel will apparently focus on the events that led Itachi to kill the entire Uchiha Clan while sparing Sasuke only, according to The Bit Bag. In addition, a new manga series in the "Naruto" universe, which will completely focus on Boruto, Naruto's son, will be launched this year.
The Japanese manga series writer, Kishimoto, will do a "Boruto" one-shot story for the Weekly Shonen Jump in spring.
Viz Media outside Japan will publish both "Boruto" series and the Kishimoto one-shot at the same time it premieres in Japan. Watch the clip below for more information about the spinoff.
