However, writer Jamie Lovett theorized that the new X-Men film could be hinting another plotline besides Apocalypse's rise into power as Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) could be holding a power far more threatening and devastating than En Sabah Nur himself. Lovett speculated that the first trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse" could be contain a glimpse of the Dark Phoenix within the young Jean Grey, Comic Book reported.

Director Bryan Singer stated in the interview that Jean Grey was the one operating Cerebro during the dream sequences. Jean saw the world ending and felt the cold chill of death everywhere. Professor Xavier comforts Jean and assures her nothing will happen, but the latter was giving Jean false hope as he felt there is something dangerous is about to happen. Singer added that that take he did with Charles is less sincere and a psychic moment happened between him and Jean making it more suspicious.

Lovett speculated that young Jean is housing enormous power as her powers are increasing that she could already see glimpse and visions of the future. Professor X fears that her increasing power cannot be controlled, thus possibly building up a new take on "The Dark Phoenix Saga".

"The Dark Phoenix Saga" was first used in the third film, "X-Men: The Last Stand" as Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) unleashed her full potential as the Phoenix and almost destroyed the X-Men and Brotherhood of Mutants.

In other news, "Pan" film star Hugh Jackman teased that possibility of having Wolverine back in "X-Men: Apocalypse" as he told Yahoo that he does not really count the number of times his character appeared in each "X-Men" films, but he was grateful that he has a chance to play Logan for the last time in the sequel before retiring the role in "Wolverine 3".

Several reports speculated that Wolverine will show up in "X-Men: Apocalypse" due to Singer and his crew doing reshoots of the film in Montreal last year. Although no proof has been given, they neither discount the rumors.

Lastly, Josh Helman confirmed that William Stryker will be added in to the film and stated that his character has been developing plans of his own moving forward into the film. Helman added that the machinations for Weapon X could be featured "X-Men: Apocalypse" as he explained that the previous film, "Days of Future Past" had him "taking note", this time he will move forward to bigger plans.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be showing in cinemas on May 27, 2016.
