Blake Jorgensen, EA's Chief Financial Officer, explained that, adhering to the part of the arrangement with Lucas and Disney, no game in "Star Wars" can be developed, which is said to violate the canon of "Star Wars." Jorgensen also explained that nothing from the future could be taken and brought back o the past unless it is a reference.

Jorgensen is also said to comment on the current timeline of "Star Wars Battlefront," the first-person shooter game developed by DICE. He said that the current timeline takes place during the original trilogy and episodes 5, 6 and 7 of "Star Wars," which explains why Emperor Palpatine is still live and Luke Skywalker is still young, Ecumenical News reported.

Jorgensen did not rule out that the upcoming DLCs will not have any reference to the future movies. In this context, he cited the example of the content in the "Battle of Jakku," where the battle in the desert planet was shown, which happened before the storyline of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

According to reports, Jorgensen assured fans that more features and details will be revealed in the next instalment of the game franchise. He ruled out anything new in this version of "Star Wars Battlefront," but reassured that the coming contents for the IP will be connected to the movie franchise.

"Star Wars Battlefront" is now available on PC, PS4 and XBox One consoles.
