Numerous listeners have successfully tested Apple Music on Sonos through the beta program since December last year. Sonos has been offering Spotify to its members for several years. People owing Sonos speakers will now be able to stream Apple Music on their systems. They will just need to open the Sonos app, select "Add Music Services," click on the Apple Music icon and login.

Sonos members will now be able to access to almost all the features of Apple Music, including New, For My Music, You, and also radio, including the Sonos radio station. The only thing missing is Connect, the social feature artists use to share behind-the-scenes content.

Apple senior vice-president for Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue said, "The feedback from Apple Music members on Sonos during the beta period has been great." The release further quoted him saying added, "Sonos plus Apple Music provides an amazing listening experience at home - and we're excited to offer it to all Sonos customers."

Sonso release quoted company CEO John MacFarlane, observing, "This partnership has been an excellent example of two companies that truly care about music coming together to deliver a great listening experience."

While the beta service of Apple Music worked perfectly with Sonos, things are likely to be more stable now compared to ever before, Engadget reported. Currently, Sonos almost covers every streaming music service available in over 60 countries, but members will be requiring the official Sonos app to listen to music on the company's speakers.

Meanwhile, industry experts are of the view that Apple's partnership with Sonos is vital keeping in view that the latter makes some of the best connected speakers worldwide. Collaborating with Sonos will help Apple to compete with Spotify better.
