AllKpop released on Tuesday its top-10 list of the prettiest visuals of all time, with Girls' Generation Im Yoona and Miss A's Baa Suzy headlining the list, but surprisingly left off the face of one of Kpop's most iconic girl group - 2NE1's Dara.
AllKpop, a Korean pop blog based in Edgewater, New Jersey, has been putting up all kinds of lists on a daily basis, from the weirdest to the most awesome Korean pop has to offer.
This time, AllKpop writer mssylee enumerated who are the elites when it comes to Goddess-level beauty in the K-pop. And when we speak of beauties, we are talking about the 'visuals,' the ones who usually get the most screen time on every music videos and stand up as the de facto face of their respective girl groups.
Although AllKpop didn't really specify who's no.1 in the ranking, it's easy to tell that Yoona is the visual of all visuals. Arguably the most recognizable member of Korea's top girl group SNSD, Yoona has the looks and the style every K-pop fanatic is gunning for.
Another popular artist on the list is multi-media Korean superstar Bae Suzy. The 21-year-old beauty has served as the Maknae and the visual for his girl band Miss A since its debut in 2010. Other than her career in music, Suzy is known for portraying leading roles in various Korean Dramas like Dream High, Gu Family Book and Big. Not to mention, she has become one of the most-sought endorsers in Korea.
Perhaps, the most shocking omission on the list is 2ne1's Dara Park. While K-Rap queen CL stands out as the leader of a group that separates itself from traditional Korean girl bands, Dara's natural beauty and unintentional cuteness provides the right balance into the mix, an ingredient that made 2ne1 a worldwide hit.
Of course, AllKpop might have also considered the fact that 2NE1 hasn't been active on the Korean music industry as of late (though they are scheduled to release a comeback album this year).
