"The thing that surprised me the most was lying shirtless in bed with her. I really had a moment that tickled me. I was like, okay I am realizing as we're doing this, I really never thought we'd be here. Not that I consciously thought they'd never had sex. We had cameras on us shirtless. It was like, who are we? We are the wrong people in the wrong role. But that was what is so joyful about it," he said.

Meanwhile, "The Big Bang Theory" has been receiving high ratings week in and week out.

According to TV By the Numbers, the show received a 3.8 rating on Thursday night, but the sitcom spiked up with a 5.3 rating three days later.

This means that Thursday night's episode increased with an original 15.24 million viewers to a total of 19.46 million viewers.
