There were speculations that "Iron Fist" will debut in Dec. 2016, but based on the grand scale in which all of the Marvel TV series are produced, this realese date is highly unlikely. Although, during the Television Critics Assoication press tour, Netflix content Chief Ted Sarandos revealed that it is possible that the production team can manage to finish the production as per schedule. Sarandos had revealed in his previous interview, "There are long production times and long post times. And in some cases we have character crossovers, which make it a little difficult to manage production."

Marvel's "Iron Fist" TV series by Scott Buck will follow the story of Daniel Rand, who returns to New York City after many years, and wishes to eliminate the criminal activities that swirl around NYC by using his recently learnt kung-fu mastery and his special abilities to summon powers of the fiery Iron Fist. Reportedly, Marvel's four superheroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will be seen together in Netflix new TV series called "The Defenders."
