"Jane the Virgin" season 2 recently saw Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) getting engaged.

On Monday night, Jane and Michael realized that they were meant to be together all those times.

With this, Jane immediately accepted Michael's proposal without even considering the possible repercussions of her decision.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, an insider from the hit The CW show revealed that Jane and Michael's engagement may not last.

"It's hard to say anything's for certain on a telenovela, but I have a good feeling the next episode will address your concerns. When Rafael looks like he could need Jane's help, it brings up a lot of old issues for Michael, which will force Jane and Michael to decide if they're better now... or if they're doomed to repeat their old mistakes," the insider said.

Executive producer Jennie Urman also spoke with TV Line about the couple and said, "I feel like I shouldn't say, but we are heading toward Jane and Michael's wedding, certainly. Definitely, they are making plans to get married and very much in love. She has chosen Michael, definitely, at this moment.

Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) recently gave birth to two beautiful babies Elsa and Ana.

Following her not-so-easy pregnancy, Rafael arrived at the hospital to check on her baby mama and twins.

By the looks of it, there's some hope for a Rafael-Petra reconciliation anytime soon. After all, Rafael couldn't be as active of a father as he wants to his son Mateo because he and Jane are already broken up.

Rafael will therefore exhaust all of his means - time and money - in caring for his two babies.

On Monday night's episode, Rafael was also confronted by Jane and Petra about his drinking problems.

Following his split from Jane, Rafael returned to his old ways, and started hooking up with random women.

The only difference now is that he's become more cautious with using protection.

When asked if Rafael and Jane are completely over, Urman said that nothing is for certain on the show.

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 airs Mondays on The CW.
