However, analysts and fans are hopeful of an imminent release as Apple had launched the 12-inch MacBook Pro in March last year, which supports the speculations that a repeat may take place for the latest MacBook Pro this year. The said March 21st event is also expected to launch a 4-inch iPhone SE along with a 9.7-inch iPad Pro.

It is also rumored that the upcoming laptop will sport an OLED display instead of the Retina LCD screen. If this is true, it will be the first device to do so. This will be a major step for the Cupertino based company, to switch from the normal HD display screens to the OLED screen. The inclusion of this next generation technology is also bound to increase its price range. It is strongly speculated that the device will be launched at a price of around $1,299 to $1,599.

As far as the hardware specs of the device are to be concerned, it will be 13.1-mm thin and weigh only 2 lbs. It will be available in many colour variants, such as gold, silver, and space gray. The MacBook Pro 2016 will be armed with a Sky Lake Core M processor, which is expected to boost up the performance of the Mac by 20 percent, according to Forbes. The chip set in this configuration will increase the battery life of the device upto 12 hours long with an enhanced graphics display.

Other features of the device include a USB Type-C connection port for fast charging of the device, an OS X El Capitan operating system, along with a Thunderbolt port.
