While Robert Shapiro (John Travolta) took advantage of the opening scene to declare to the media that he respected the LAPD safe for "a few bad apples," there was no actual consensus reached between any of the opposing parties through the Tuesday, March 15 episode, titled "Conspiracy Theories."

Just like Shapiro's declaration, every move made by the defense and prosecution in the O.J. Simpson (Cuba Gooding Jr.) murder trial was a calculated, strategic one. When the super-public trial progressed, viewers were treated with how professors at Harvard Law used it to teach their courses.

One professor commended lead defense attorney Johnnie Cochran (Courtney B. Vance) for tactically utilizing entertainment to attract viewers' attention. The professor explained that the world was becoming more and more invested in stories and entertainment, telling his students, "If there's going to be a media circus, you'd better be the ringmaster!"

As evident from the Tuesday night episode, the professor strode to his fax machine, wrote something on a piece of paper, sent it to Johnnie and gave a chance to his class to watch as the lawyer got the fax, read its message and proposed the professor's perspective to the judge, right there on live TV. The suggestion was meant to bring up drug cartels and their disgracefully atrocious killings.

As a result, Johnnie took his cue from the professor all the way across the nation and dramatically acted out having his throat sliced, giving the national viewers entertainment and a new conspiracy theory. The major question is whether Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman had been killed because Faye Resnick (Connie Britton) owed a cartel money.

At the offices of the prosecution, Marcia Clark (Sarah Paulson) laughed off the frantic flailing, although Chris Darden (Sterling K. Brown) said that the jury ate it all up and was more preoccupied with far-fetched arguments that was given by the defense.

Elsewhere in Los Angeles, Robert Kardashian (David Schwimmer) silently expressed his concern to Johnnie that no proof has yet emerged to exonerate O.J. Just as Johnnie was assuring is colleague that the truth always comes out, two of his former lovers surfaced on a talk show, discussing how he handled two households while he two-timed them both.
