iOS 9.3 release date is looming, but important information is still shrouded in mystery. As customers wait for further details from Apple, there are some available information about iOS 9.3 release for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

In January, Apple unveiled a brand new iOS 9 update, iOS 9.3. Like its precursor, it will be a milestone update for Apple's OS and therefore, it will deliver some huge upgrades to users of the iPhone and iPad. iOS 9.3 beta helped in unveiling much about the update itself.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, Apple has loaded iOS 9.3 with new features including Night Shift, advancements in 3D touch for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, and tweaks to some key apps including Notes and Health. The update as well includes support for Verizon Wi-Fi calling.

There is much information about the iOS 9.3 update except for its release date. There are some speculations but fans will have to wait for official confirmation from the Cupertino tech giant.

The iOS 9.3 will bring a brand new feature called Night Shift, a feature similar to F.lux for Mac, according to Just Get Flux, in the sense that it adjusts blue light coming from a device's display to help the user get better sleep. As opposed to F.lux, Night Shift is for all iPhone owners, although not just any old iPhone.

Seemingly, Night Shift will only come to select iPhone models. In fact, it will not work on iOS devices that have older, 32-bit processors. Such devices include iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 4s, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, original iPad mini, and generation five iPod Touch.

While the company likes pleasing its customers, they should not expect this change between now and the public release of iOS 9.3. For those who own older models and wish to have a Night Shift feature, they may have to jailbreak to get it since Apple will not allow competitors into the App Store.
