If the total carnage depicted in Chapter 79 would serve as indication, the next issue of Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) will be even more of intense with the Warriors slowly pushing the Survey Corps to the brink of defeat.
With still roughly two weeks to go before chapter 80 gets released, Attack on Titan readers are left hanging on what will happen next in arguably the most critical point in the Return to Shiganshina saga.
To provide a bird's eye view of the battle field, Jean presented the current situation for both sides, and currently, it looks like the Survey Corps are in dangerous waters with the Beast Titan attacking from the south and the Colossal Titan about to pour it on from the north flank.

Situation for the Warriors:
-With the aid of four-legged titans, Zeke has been successful in eliminating almost half of the Survey Corps by throwing high-speed projectiles at them.
-Zeke, who surprisingly knows how to use proper pitching mechanic, is determined to continue his onslaught until he achieves a perfect game - which is a baseball term that describes nine flawless innings of pitching. (One would wonder how the Beast Titan is aware of this tern and proper throwing mechanic in a story set in medieval age? Is it me or creator Hajime Isayama is dropping some hints here?)
-Bertolt proved too big and too strong even for Eren in his Rogue Titan form, as he easily sent Yeager flying straight to the wall with just swing of his foot.
-Reiner, after receiving beating at the hands of his thunder-spear wielding foes, is close to complete his regeneration cycle, and surely another problem the Survey Crops to reckon with.
Situation for the Survey Corps:
-The Survey Corps suffered big blows on both side of the wall. First off, Hanji and his team is nowhere to be found after that huge blast created by Bertolt's transformation. Erwin's battalions tasked to guard the horses were nearly wiped out by Beast Titan bullet-like projectiles.
-The Rogue clearly has no match against the Colossal Titan when it comes to strength. With the beating he received from Bertolt, how would Erin responds when the push comes to shove?
-The Survey Corps might be down to their last trump card with Bertolt and Beast Titan placing them in a virtual death trap.
Chapter 80: Humanity's Counter Attack
It is the right time for the Survey Corps to use the equalizer in this battle - the Titan Serum given by a dying Kenny Ackerman to his nephew Levi Ackerman. I don't know, but I have a sense momentum will finally shift sides on Chapter 80. The Survey Corps have been pushed far enough in this battle. Yes, the Warriors have outclassed them strategically and physically. However, it's time for payback.
Yep, the next chapter might feature Levi flying and dodging as he enters Titan territory. Eren might showcase a new ability to match up with Bertolt. Heck, Erwin could transform into another colossal Titan. It's going to be 10x exciting than the previous chapter, hopefully. With Season 2 production delayed, we fans deserve a better entertainment from Isayama. Enough of flashback, enough of futile discussions between old pals (see chapter 78), it's time for all-out war.
