In a bog post via Polygon, producer Yoshinori Kitase pointed out that "Final Fantasy VII Remake" will come with new game aspects. Kitase as well said that the upcoming remake will go beyond what fans have seen in the original "Final Fantasy VII" game.

Kitase said, "With the 'Final Fantasy VII Remake' we have the opportunity to go beyond the story, world and experience of 'Final Fantasy VII' in ways we've always dreamed of - from the depths of Midgar to the skies above the Planet. The multi-part format enables us to expand the original story and turn it into an epic experience for fans and new gamers alike."

In a different statement via Siliconera, the game producer revealed that this year is still a year of preparations for the upcoming remake. The developer company is set to create a new kind of value for the hardware that is the PS4 for the next announcement.

If the statement turns out to be true, fans of "Final Fantasy VII" should expect seeing an earlier release for the remake by 2017 in PS4 version. There were speculations indicating that the game will be launched on Nintendo NX, although none of this has been confirmed by Square Enix.
