Some years back, game developer Square Enix released a tech demo on PS3 portraying how the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" may look like. Fans have eagerly waited to see the game because the graphics and background of the original game were not depicted in HD.

It is difficult for the developer to touch everything, implying that Square Enix should work on details and animation from scratch. Meanwhile, E3 2015 saw the release of a "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" trailer, which has already been confirmed by the company, but gamers who expect seeing the game released anytime soon have slim chances.

The latest information via Siliconera indicates that the studio producer Yoshinori Kitase spoke in an interview with a Japanese magazine, confirming that 2016 would be a year of preparations.

"I believe that this year will still be a year of preparations for 'Final Fantasy 7 Remake,'" Kitase said. "I'd like to create a new kind of value for the hardware that is the PlayStation 4 for our next announcement."

The little information revealed in the past few months about the gameplay shows that the remake would be released in episodes. The episodic release of the game is to allow the game creator to make a proper HD "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" that gives the same experience as the original game, the official Square Enix website revealed. According to the website, the HD remake will come with a large amount of content.

In case Square Enix introduces installments of "Final Fantasy VII," fans should anticipate seeing more stories that were left untouched in the original game. While the developer company has not announced any official release date for the game, next year is most likely. The year 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the original game, and therefore, the company may decide to launch the HD remake version as a way of celebrating "Final Fantasy VII."

For now, fans can only hope for the best as they watch the video clip below for the trailer:
