While the rumors about the upcoming "Final Fantasy" games do not come directly from Square Enix, SuperMetalDave64 is reputable for accurate predictions, and therefore, it is not entirely a wild guess. Furthermore, the speculations about the new "Final Fantasy" games coming to Nintendo NX are rational, considering what is known so far.

The first reason why such rumors make sense is that Square Enix and Nintendo are in good terms. Their reconciliation happened years back, but the relationship has been undergoing gradual improvement. The relationship made it possible for Cloud to come "Super Smash Bros."

The second reason concerns the Nintendo NX supposedly becoming very powerful, rivaling PS4. The new console is fantastic for a game like "Final Fantasy VII Remake," whose main selling point is its graphics that differentiate it from the original "Final Fantasy VII," according to iDigital Times. Similarly, "Final Fantasy XV" coming out for the most powerful console on the market is reasonable.

The most important reason why "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and "Final Fantasy XV" might may their way to the Nintendo NX is that Square Enix is the only developer that has announced anything for Nintendo NX. In fact, Nintendo itself has not yet, although the next "Dragon Quest" games were initially slated for Nintendo NX, before Nintendo made Square Enix go all backsies.

The news proved that Square Enix has interest in Nintendo's latest system, and probably the strongest evidence yet that other games might come to it in the near future.

Fans should wait for official confirmation from the developer company to see if the two games will actually hit Nintendo NX. Meanwhile, here is footage for further details:
