Square Enix unveiled that one of the reasons for the game's long development is because of recreating old and fan-favorite characters.

Game enthusiasts have been wondering whether the cities in the upcoming remake will be made to the level similar to "Final Fantasy 15." The fifteenth game installment setting and places are reportedly so large that even they get lost in their own creation.

According to Gematsu, Ishikawa Tomonori explained on the size of the cities in "Final Fantasy 15" saying, "I can tell everyone a little about Altissia at this time."

Tomonori told Movie Pilot, "Altissia has many and varied locations, such as multiple cafes, ship-bourne marketplaces and parks etc. The city is of a considerable scale, to the extent that even the developers sometimes get lost there!"

Previous reports indicated that fans of the upcoming action role-playing game, "Final Fantasy 7" remake have been eager to lay hands on the game. However, it seems they will have to wait until 2018 for the full launch of the game.

Although "Final Fantasy 7" remake is one of the most eagerly awaited games, it does not imply that the game will be released any time soon. As a result, Square Enix understands that it cannot afford to make a mistake. The developer company is under pressure from the fanbase to do its best, and that could mean a possible longer wait, although that could be against people's wish.

Meanwhile, Square Enix announced that the upcoming remake would have an episodic launch, revealing that important parts of the game will come out at different points in time. The release should allow the developer company to manage the timeline for the remake better, although that still does not point towards the first part of the game being released soon.

Square Enix has already expressed a desire to tweak particular elements of the gameplay, incorporating such widespread changes that need more time. Currently, all the changes coming with the game may make "Final Fantasy 7" remake to be ready not earlier than 2017, with a 2018 launch being more realistic.
