"Castle" Season 8 takes a break before returning with its episode 16 on April 4, Monday. The upcoming segment is titled "Heartbreaker" and it features a blast from Esposito's past when Castle and Beckett take over a new case. Here are spoilers for the next chapter of ABC's crime drama television series. Read on to find out what happens next.

In episode 15 "Fidelis Ad Mortem," the NYPD agents investigate the murder mystery of an NYPD recruit. Meanwhile, Beckett conducts mock drills and various training sessions for her co-workers. Also, Castle confesses Beckett that he knows about LokSat.
Moving on to "Castle" Season 8 episode 16. According to the synopsis for "Heartbreaker" on the network's official website, someone from Esposito's returns and he/she may hold a key to a murder mystery.
When Castle and Beckett begin to investigate the death of an armoured-car driver, the couple recovers a piece of evidence that forces them to open the files of an old case solved by Esposito. As they dig deeper, Castle and Beckett make a shocking discovery.
The detective duo realises that Esposito might be hiding something related to the case and the culprit. As they investigate further, they figure they might not know the entire truth.
So what is it that Esposito is hiding from his colleagues? A promo video for "Castle" Season 8 teasing the events of Episode 16 "Heartbreaker" suggest that Esposito was involved with the criminal in the case.
"You're a cop, how could you get involved with a criminal?" Ryan yells at Esposito in the trailer.
Next shot shows Esposito and his old flame, the woman in question, getting cosy for a kiss. Scroll down to watch the promo video.
