"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke once again addressed the ongoing debate about how women  are treated on the hit HBO TV series.

Clarke told Entertainment Weekly that the particular controversy does not harm the show. Instead, it  has appeared to have made their show more interesting. According to the 29-year-old star, "There's so much controversy. Yet that's what's beautiful about 'Game of Thrones'."

Clarke also spoke about her personal thoughts on how the show tries to portray the role of women in a community. She expressed that, "It's depiction of women in so many different stages of development. There are women depicted as sexual tools, women who have zero rights, women who are queens but only to a man, and then there are women who are literally unstoppable and as powerful as you can possibly imagine."

"Game of Thrones" Daenerys emphasized that it pains her to receive news that  people are taking their TV series as nothing but an anti-feminist spin. Clarke also added that their portrayals are aimed at showing a woman's range and ultimately present that idea that aside from the fact that women are equal, they were also made to carry forms of strength.

Clarke also added that strength will be the next highlight in "Game of Thrones" season 6. In the upcoming episodes of the fantasy drama, several female characters will take the center stage in an all-new installment.

"Game of Thrones" season 6, reportedly, will be rocked -by the female characters. Michael Lombardo, the HBO programming president, previously told the same publication that aside from Daenerys, who always dominates the scenes, Arya (Maisie Williams), Brienne (Gwendoline Christie), Margaery (Natalie Dormer), and Sansa, Cersei (Lena Headey) will also be showing off their skills. Other characters like Yara (Gemma Whelan) will also be featured in future episodes.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 will be ruled by women, Lombardo said. It is natural to the flow of the story, but will not be anything short of radical shifts. The show's aim is to portray the women characters as the ray of hope that audience will be hooked to all throughout the season, the programming president added.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 will premiere on HBO,  April 24, Sunday, at 9 p.m. Watch trailer here:
