There have been many rumors circulating the internet that "Descendants of the Sun" star Song Joong-Ki may be dating his co-star Song Hye-Kyo.

In an exclusive interview with Naver TV, Joong-Ki finally broke the silence and answered an important question that has been lingering in the minds of viewers. Among the many questions asked, the interviewer wanted Joong-Ki to choose between Doctor Kang Mo-Yeon and Yoon Myeong-Joo.

Surprised that he was asked such a question on KBS News 9, the actor answered, "Well, since I've shared so many emotional scenes with Kang Mo-Yeon..." continued Joong-Ki with a smile on his face. "If I don't say that, she'll probably get mad. Of course, I choose Doctor Kang Mo-Yeon."

When Joong-Ki's attention was drawn to rumors that he was dating Hye-Kyo, he said the two are aware of such rumors, and that they are really enjoying them. Joong-Ki believes that such rumors emanate from the overwhelming positive response that the drama has received.

The interviewer also wanted to know how the actor felt about becoming a world-famous Hallyu star. Joong-Ki acknowledged that it is somehow strange because he did not know that things would turn out the way they did. However, he was grateful that he is happy lately.

The star as well revealed his favorite line from "Descendants of the Sun," which turned out to be "Then save him."

Meanwhile, actor Yoo Ah-in is set to make a special appearance in the popular Korean drama next week, according to Soompi. According to the publication, sources close to the producers of "Descendants of the Sun" said that Ah-in would play a principled banker.

The publication had previously reported that actress Kim Ji-won was happy about the direction of her career since she joined "Descendants of the Sun." According to her, the drama has become a life-changing production.

The Korean romance-drama has refreshed its viewership records, hitting almost 40 percent. About 33 percent of viewers across the country watched the drama on Thursday. The response has been great in Seoul, the figure reaching a 36.6 percent mark.
