The first leg of their head-to-head encounter will be held at the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg, Germany on Wednesday, April 6th.

Wolfsburg overpowered the reigning Belgian Pro League champions KAA Gent in their Round-of-16 matchup, 4-2, on aggregate, to advance in the final eight stage of Europe's most prestigious club tournament.

After beating Gent, 3-2, in the first leg of their encounter at the Ghelamco Arena in February, Die Wölfe pulled off another win at their home field of Volkswagen Arena, 1-0, in their second leg meeting on March 8th, as per SkySports.

The second leg was a scoreless match most of the way until German forward Andre Schurrle broke the deadlock at the 74th minute and provide the winner for head coach Dieter Hecking's side.

The Wolves made history with their win as it was the first time in club history that they had reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League. However, they will be up against one of the strongest teams in world football right now, Real Madrid, which means that they have to bring their A-game for the two legs if they want to extend their history-making campaign this year.

Los Blancos crushed Italian Serie A side AS Roma, 4-0 on aggregate, in their Round-of-16 matchup to move to the quarters.

Real blanked Roma, 2-0, at the Stadio Olimpico on Feb. 17th then replicated their dominance at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium with another 2-0 decision over La Maggica on March 8th, as reported by The Guardian.

After a goalless first half at the Bernabéu, no less than Real's three-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo again provided the opening goal for Zinedine Zidane's squad at the 64th minute. The lead was immediately doubled by Colombian superstar James Rodriguez four minutes later to seal the win for Los Vikingos.

Carrying the momentum of their huge El Clásico victory over domestic rivals FC Barcelona last Saturday, the Madrid giants are overwhelming favorites to beat Wolfsburg in this match.

The predicted result is a 4-0 romp for Real Madrid.
