"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is still months away from its premiere later in the year, but rumors are already suggesting what the next installation has in store for "Attack on Titan" fans. The most profound claim suggests that major character Levi Ackerman will eventually die.

According to Day Herald, Ackerman will kick the bucket in the lethal action of this season. As one of the main figures of "Attack on Titan," he will be in his endeavors of saving Armin, Eren, and Mikasa when the tragedy will transpire.

Ackerman has been a fan-favorite "Attack on Titan" protagonist, as witnessed in many forums. Many fans, therefore, are already finding it hard to believe about his imminent death. If he is indeed to leave the series, reports say he will leave a long-living legacy that "Attack on titan" fans will hold on to for a long time.

"Attack on Titan" Director Tetsuro Araki recently shared his insights on the development of the series with Bessatsu Shonen Japanese magazine, after which Fuku Shuu translated the interview. He revealed that the production team is doing the best they can to finish "Attack on Titan" Season 2 and deliver it in the form of an exciting creation.

"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is expected to wrap up soon, just in time for a late 2016 release.
