A lot of speculations are roaming the web relating to the possible victim of Negan, but there is no solid information that would support the said rumors. As a matter of fact, the cast of the show also denies that they know who the character was, and that they are also clueless about the identity of Negan's victim. Andrew Lincoln's on screen son, Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl in the "The Walking Dead" series, tweeted this a day after the episode aired, "if it makes you feel any better I still don't know who got killed and it's been like 6 months since I read the script #whoisit."

The viewers of the show may have been shocked on "The Waking Dead" season 6's finale episode, and some may have felt unsatisfied with it because it left a major question to the viewers. However, before the fans react widely, the show's executive producer Scott Gimple provided some clues about "The Waking Dead" Season 7's pilot episode in order to defend the show's season 6 ending, TVLine reported.

Gimple said that the first episode of "The Waking Dead" season 7 will start where season 6 ended. This could mean that fans will know the character who took the hit from Negan. The EP added, season 7 is going to start in a very dark way, but that will not be the case for the whole season.

Gimple emphasized that episode one to eight of "The Waking Dead" season 7 will introduce numerous locales, and that the first eight episodes will cover different stories. Perhaps, fans may see a wide variety of stories in the next season of "The Walking Dead." He also stated that they are trying the best they can to hide the identity of Negan's victim, and they are hoping that no information regarding it will leak in order to preserve the fans' curiosity until "The Waking Dead" season 7 begins.

As of the moment, there is still no confirmation about "The Waking Dead" season 7's exact premiere date.
